The Unplanned Trip To Cameron Highlands
It was an unplanned trip. Unplanned yet
awesome! It happened five months ago when everyone was home for holiday. My
brother's idea: make a trip to Cameron Highlands and we made it! After packing our clothes, we started our
journey at 8 am early in the morning since we knew it would take about a five
hours long-journey from Pasir Mas to Cameron Highlands. We (read: my mother, my
brothers, my three sisters, my nephews and I) went there by three cars. Of
course, I was the passenger, not yet a driver.L
I had such a picturesque journey there.
There was nature like hills and caves that captured my eyes, especially when we
were at the border between Kelantan and Pahang. I enjoyed myself, even though I
was tired of sitting in the car for hours. My mother said the same. Haha. God
bless our journey, and all of us with three cars arrived safely in the noon. We
had our prayer at Tanah Rata before heading straight to the Big Red Strawberry
Farm in Brinchang.

There, I looked around to read any
directions or information that I could get. And yes, I saw the souvenirs shop!
I pulled my sister and three of my nephews there. Once entered the shop, I saw
everything in red. “Yeah, since Cameron Highlands is known for its strawberry”,
I guessed alone. I managed to buy some keychains while my sister bought a small
strawberry pillow. Later, we followed our family, sitting at a strawberry shop
and there was a big spacious strawberry farm in front of us. My brother ordered
Gourmet Chocolate Covered Strawberries for nine people of us. I enjoyed it. It
tasted delicious moreover with the not so hot weather, made me more comfortable
in my sweater.J
It was about 5 pm where we decided to
find rooms for our night in Cameron Highlands. We searched around the Brinchang
area and we were so lucky to get three rooms with a very affordable price. It
was colder there in the evening. I shivered as I touch the water in the toilet.
We cleaned ourselves and got rest. Everyone has to prepare for the next day's
trip!
8 a.m, we went for our breakfast at the
food court at the Brinchang city. We thought we were early enough but we were
not. It was crowded with people until we need to wait for a few minutes to get
sit. 9.45 a.m, we were at Bharat Tea Plantation. I was amazed by the scenery
there plus the air in the morning; it was so cool and refreshing. It made me
feel relaxed and I felt calm. Then, all of us paid RM3 per person to enter the
plantation area. Luckily, it was free for children. We captured photos there, a
lot! I feel like I do not want to go home. Before we leaving, I accompanied my
mother bought some tea; original and flavoured tea. Later, before noon, we left
Cameron Highlands.
It was an unforgettable memory for me
since it was the first trip we did without a plan. Furthermore, during that
travel, I enjoyed my time with my loved ones. There is nothing more blessed
than that.
